With its Frame TV, showcased at IFA 2017, Samsung presented the future of television, which has moved from the table to the wall. In addition to displaying television programmes, the Frame TV can also be used as a private gallery. In order to draw attention to this new combination of entertainment, visuality and individuality in advance and to demonstrate it impressively at the start of the IFA, visumate launched an authentic storytelling campaign for Samsung with Europe's largest influencer collective, the German Roamers.
We invited five of the top photographers to share their personal motivation and approach to photography with the world under the motto ‘My collection: memories for a lifetime’. As part of their travels, they created gripping content, which was presented together with personal accompanying texts in the exhibition ‘The Frame Gallery’ at stilwerk Berlin.
All the pictures were taken exclusively with the Samsung Galaxy S8 | S8+ and the Samsung Gear 360. Selected motifs from the photo series were published by the German Roamers parallel to the exhibition via their own Instagram profiles and promoted for additional coverage through Instagram Stories. Samsung in turn incorporated the stories into its social media channels and retold them there.
The ten posts and 45 Instagram stories on the Instagram channels of the German Roamers reached a total of over two million followers. Samsung’s ‘The Frame Gallery 2017’ was also a complete success and was well received by both visitors and photographers.
