At a major unpacked event in New York in August 2017, Samsung then introduced the new Galaxy Note8. As teasers, 17 Samsung Snapshooters, together with the artists Chrisse Kunst, Pascal Thomas, Petra Pretorius and Vidam created unique crosses of photographs and illustrations, which were posted in advance.
A few weeks later, eight Snapshooters travelled to New York with Samsung to capture the official presentation and some of the city's highlights. Content for the Snapshooter and @samsungmobile_de channels was produced through trips to unique photo locations. The whole community was able to participate in the unpacked event through stories and live videos, and immediately examine the first shots with the Galaxy Note8 from the Big Apple.
Even during the teaser phase, the Snapshooter posts reached more than 1.33 million followers and achieved an engagement level of over 35,000 interactions. This number had almost doubled by the end of the campaign, with 68,000 likes and comments and a total of 3.5 million people having seen the postings from New York.
